Beer is a natural remedy for colds. According to Japanese researchers of Sapporo Medical University, umulone, a substance contained in hops, is effective in combating the symptoms of common ailments.
In particular, beer, drunk as a natural remedy for colds, would ensure an anti-inflammatory of the respiratory tract. To ensure the treatment of colds, though, would drinking 30 bottles or cans from 0.33 liters, an exaggerated amount. The consumption of many bottles of beer, if on one hand would lead to the disappearance of the symptoms of colds, the other would cause damage to our body. The umulone comes in a beer wouldn’t be enough to cure colds and why researchers are studying what other foods and other drinks, alcohol-free, which contain a higher amount of umulone.
The beer is also highly effective in counteracting the respiratory syncytial virus, a disease that can cause symptoms similar to the common cold, but more dangerous to human health, and for which there are still no effective cures.
