Belgium Trappist Breweries Addresses

Not everyone knows, but historically were the friars to push the population of beer consumption. They were the years of the middle ages and the fermentation process was able to render the water potable, at that time, was the vehicle of diseases.

For this reason the Trappists, an order of Cistercian monks, began to produce beer for their own consumption. Faithful to the rule ora et labora built brasserie within the walls of their monasteries, prayer to brassage. Moreover, beer in Belgium has always had a place in history: Gambrinus, King of the Brewers of the VIII century, was of these parts and the Duke of Flanders and Brabant, as well as being the official supplier of Charlemagne, was the great promoter of the Brewers ‘ Guild and was elected patron. In addition, there is the area or country of Belgium without a local distillery. But it is precisely in the Trappist who still produces the drink with medieval methods.

I have just seven in the world, the abbeys where the true Trappist beer. Six are in Belgium (Orval, Chimay, Rochefort, Westmalle, Westvleteren and Achel), one is located in the Netherlands. The beers here are produced, they are much sought after by fans, but taste them and buying them is not so simple. A small linguistic clarification at this point is d requirement: the beers produced by the same process, but outside the abbeys (licensed anyway) are called d Abbey beers and Trappist beers. Returning to the latter, Rochefort, lies the Abbey of Notre Dame de Saint Rémy.

Here, protected by stained-glass, c is the brasserie: Trappist monks and young workers rummage at the same time the malt and the spring water in the shade of a crucifix hanging on the wall. Result of much work are authentic beers from meditation, to be drunk too cold not to appreciate the taste with hints of chocolate. Rochefort beers are of three types with three different gradations, and can be bought only in the country in peddling of Rochefort, saw that the brothers do not sell their products directly. The canteen is an excellent address to buy the excellent cheeses produced in the Abbey.

The Abbey of Orval produces a beer legère instead. A beer that should be taken: it can only taste at the Inn L ange gardien and you can’t buy. Its particularity is the aromatization with hops flowers. The Abbey of Notre Dame du Scourmont in Chimay, by contrast, produces three varieties of beers. The Chimay rose, is a beer of reddish brown, with a blackcurrant fragrance. The Chimay Blanche has a bitter taste. The Chimay Blue is soft and fruity. These three beers, which are bottled at about ten miles away in Baileux, can be purchased only at the Auberge de Poteaupré. In the garden you can also enjoy a glass of beer accompanied by a plate of escargots or from a selection of local cheeses.

Kiosks Of Russia May Not Sell Beer

In accordance with a law that went into effect in the new year, it is forbidden to sell beer at the kiosks that proliferated in the streets and Russian roads after the fall of the Soviet Union. Although these small makeshift shops lost their importance with the emergence of more conventional establishments, new laws could end up completely with a symbol of the vibrant and messy post-Communist free market.

The law was devised to try to combat the high level of alcoholism in Russia. Beer may only be purchased in restaurants, cafes and shops of at least 50 square meters (500 square feet). The law also changes the classification of food beer alcoholic beverage, which means that you can not be sold in any shop from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m. Also combat informal alcohol consumption, banning in public spaces.

Before the rise of supermarkets and stores of food in residential neighborhoods, the prohibition of the sale of beer at the kiosk probably will mean walking few streets more for someone who dies by drinking it. On the other hand, it will affect the income of operators of the kiosks.

Experts estimate that beer adds nearly 40% of revenues for the kiosks, according to Interfax news agency.

“Apparently all that volume will be absorbed by the shops. I think that more than one third of small farms in Russia will end up closing inevitably,”said Vadim Drobiz, director of the Research Center for markets federal and regional Alcohol, according to the news.mail.ru internet site quoted it.

Everything indicates that there will be more problems for the operators of the kiosks. The lower House of Parliament gave preliminary approval to an initiative that would prohibit the sale of cigarettes in the kiosks and small premises.

If prohibitions for cigarettes come in effect, coupled with the bans on beer, nearly 175,000 kiosks in the country might be forced to close, ending with 500,000 jobs, according to estimates by the Ministry of economic development, cited by Interfax.

Excessive consumption of alcohol and tobacco are two of the main factors in the high level of mortality of Russia. For boys born in 2006 average life expectancy was 60 to 61 years according to a report from the programme of the United Nations Development Organization.

Russia has banned smoking in most enclosed public spaces, and the Government has increased the minimum prices for vodka.

In the new year, the cheapest price for half a liter of vodka increased 36% to 170 rubles ($5.50).

The experience of Tomás Zaracho, of the white Fund Winery, located in Trinidad, is similar. Bottles Of Beer

Beer is a natural remedy for colds. According to Japanese researchers of Sapporo Medical University, umulone, a substance contained in hops, is effective in combating the symptoms of common ailments.

To ensure the treatment of colds, though, would drinking 30 bottles or cans from 0.33 liters, an exaggerated amount. The consumption of many bottles of beer, if on one hand would lead to the disappearance of the symptoms of colds, the other would cause damage to our body. The umulone comes in a beer wouldn’t be enough to cure colds and why researchers are studying what other foods and other drinks, alcohol-free, which contain a higher amount of umulone.

The beer is also highly effective in counteracting the respiratory syncytial virus, a disease that can cause symptoms similar to the common cold, but more dangerous to human health, and for which there are still no effective cures.

You Have The Cold? Drink Beer

This is news that pleased me, I was wondering when is that beer would be considered a drug. Done even centuries it is drunk to avoid falling ill not?

And well, imagine that a very serious study of the Sapporo Medical University (http://web.sapmed.ac.jp/e/), sponsored by the Sapporo brewery, informs us that the consumption of large quantities of hops in the beer would protect us against colds and some serious diseases.

A chemical compound in hops, the humulone, lowers the risk of catching the common cold and would also be an excellent anti-inflammatory. It would also provide effective protection against pneumonia and bronchitis among young people. The humulone appears to be effective in the fight against the virus respiratory syncytial which has not yet vaccine known to contain a report Jun Fuchimoto, a researcher at the company.

You will have understood, if you want to spend a winter without cold, drink beers containing humulone more… either strongly bitter beers.

Keep your receipts for the purchase of beer hopped! Maybe the RAMQ (Régie de l’assurance maladie du Québec) will reimburse you for them.

Health!

Beer Glass

The decision of the Federal Court of Santa Catarina, which prohibits advertising of beer and wine before the 9:0 pm, must be analysed under two points of view: economic and combating early consumption of alcoholic beverages.

My conclusion is that the gains to reduce the exposure of children to these commercial drinks are widely superior to any drop in economic activity of beverage industries.

I know that the decision may be reviewed by way of appeal, which does not surprise me at all. Just remember the resolution issued by the national health surveillance agency (Anvisa) on the advertising of foods with high levels of sugar, salt and fat. Was vetoed in court, although only required phrases of warnings on products like chocolates, cakes, biscuits, snack foods and soft drinks filled.

This demonstrates that industries and their associations can often overwhelm larger interests, such as to reduce the incidence of obesity for children and adolescents, with their dire consequences: diabetes, hypertension, high rates of bad cholesterol (LDL) and molecules of fat (triglycerides).

In the case of beer and wine, like ostriches, bury our heads in the sand in front of the advance of alcoholism in Brazil.

On Thursday, the Federal University of São Paulo (Unifesp) launched portal (http://www.informalcool.org.br/), with relevant information for professionals, managers, consumers, family members or friends who consumes alcoholic drink.

On the site, is the program “Brazil drink less”, which, as the name makes clear, is a step by step to reduce alcohol consumption.

Drinking too much causes more problems than the evils to health-heart problems, liver, immunity, mouth, Airways etc. One of the most serious consequences, in advanced cases of alcoholism, liver cirrhosis, chronic process of inflammation and fibrosis, which leads to the loss of the organ.

But there are also serious behavioural problems: traffic accidents, with dead and wounded; violence in the home; inability to work; irritability and difficult social coexistence.

For all that, the abuse of alcohol is even more serious in children and youth. In many situations the growth process has not yet been completed, and that adds up, negatively, the inexperience and immaturity.

I will not detail what diseases derived from this kind of conduct cause of spending in the unified health system (SUS), and therefore to the pocket of all Brazilians who maintain this hospital structure via taxes. And private health plans, as it enters the account of general loss ratio-spending to service policyholders – that is divided among all who are part of a contract.

I do not believe that the postponement of the advertisement schedule and the ban of the Olympic sports to avoid that adults take a beer or glass of wine at the end of the week.

But they can, that Yes, decrease the advertising load on children, especially, still unable to separate the wheat from the chaff in this area.

I therefore hope that the bold and correct decision of the Court of Santa Catarina is not revoked. And that will serve as a stimulus to which legislators and rulers to express, by means of laws and ordinances, to stop a problem that grows rapidly, threatening the future (and present) of millions of Brazilian families.

If economic interests always prevailed exclusively, we would still have slavery and no maximum working hours, weekly rest and annual leave. So, we need to reconcile, in any productive activity, financial and societal interests. Simple as that.

Budweiser Beer

Coincidently. And what perspective in Sao Paulo might be a huge coincidence. For now, what is known is that in the same week in which the company Ambev announced an investment of 35 million dollars (about 12.8 million euros) in the construction of temporary grandstands in Rick day Stadium, in São Paulo, the Brazilian State Government sent a Bill to the Legislative Council proposing liberalisation of consumption of beer during the World Cup 2014. But Ambev, in addition to being a sponsor of the Brazilian football Confederation (CBF), is also owner of the Budweiser beer brand, which will be the official beer of the event.

According to the Brazilian newspaper Folha de Sao Paulo, the company said it will invest in the work at the request of the Governor of the State of São Paulo, Geraldo Alckmin. But both the Ambev as the State Government deny any relationship between the funding for the construction of countertops and the proposed deregulation of beer consumption in São Paulo during the World Cup.

The sale of alcoholic beverages in FIFA events which will be held in Brazil had already been approved by a change in the status of designated by General Law supporter Cup and sanctioned in June by President Dilma Rousseff. But stayed pending the legalization of the consumption in States where the practice is prohibited by local law, as occurs in São Paulo since 1996.

Geraldo Alckmin, who sought the Ambev at the beginning of the year to convince her to build countertops that increase in 20 thousand seats at the Day-thus allowing the stadium capacity of Corinthians climb of 47 thousand places to 67 000 and St. Paul guarantee status of host city of the 2014 FIFA World Cup opening game-has always been against the legalization of the consumption of alcohol in stadiums.

According to the sheet, in March, in the Brazilian Congress, the PSDB party, it belongs to Alckmin, was against the release. “It is a step backwards in relation to the struggle for peace in the stadiums,” said Mr Jutahy junior.
